Dungaree Dresses or Pinafore Dresses

I have always associated dungaree dresses (and anything, which looks like overalls) to the 90s, I was pretty surprised when the trend made a comeback this soon. I'm not a big fan of overalls and the workman look, but the modernised dresses are too cute and fun to play with to resist. Dungaree dresses are cute in a 60s-tastic way, and their youthful insouciance can liven up any outfit.

If you have been peeking at runway backstage photos, you will notice that a lot of models have been wearing dungarees, (although models can get away with wearing anything of course).

Dungaree dresses or if you like, pinafore dresses are not the easiest things to wear, but there are a lot of ways you can make it fun and trendy. From the runways:

Betty Jackson and Chloe -SO cute and fun! Wear eye-popping coloured shirt or polo underneath. It would be best if the shirt underneath has a good cutting or made of silk, so you would look stylishly cute instead of childish cute.

Marc by Marc Jacob -Are there any trends that can't be found on the Marc runway? The right look shows how dungaree dresses can be incorporated into the haute ballerina look by using simple layers.

Fun In the Sun Cotton SunDress

To be able to head for a beach holiday now would be the ultimate pleasure. Wear the cute little sundress with flipflops over your cool bikinis. Or if you're stuck in town like the rest of us (!!), wear the dress with a fitted tee underneath, throw in some cool chucky necklace, a pair of sandals or flats and head to your nearest shopping mall to relax and unwind over a cup of coffee at the coollest cafe.
